Bomba Estereo
On April 19th, Colombian duo Bomba Estereo plays a show at the small venue The Independent, located on Divisadero. They performed at the Stern Grove festival during summer 2010, and their fame has only grown since then. This is sure to be a great show.
Bomba Estereo consists of two main players- singer Liliana Saumet and Simon Mejia. Their sound can best be described as pop, with influences from bachata, electronic music and more. Their lyrics are socially aware, and Liliana is able to sing rapid fire rap songs like a pro, like in the song "Feelin". We are lucky enough to have Bomba Estereo play in San Francisco twice in less than a year; this one's not to be missed.
