Dining out for Life
Thursday, April 28th is the chosen date for the 10th annual Dining Out For Life fundraiser. On this date, customers who eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at participating restaurants know that 25% of their check will be donated to AIDs charities. The principal beneficiary in the Bay Area is the STOP AIDS Project, along with a few smaller non-profits in the East Bay. This is a great way to donate to a good cause and enjoy a night out a favorite restaurant at the same time.
Dining Out For Life always raises money for charities that benefit AIDS prevention services and help those battling the disease. A little over 100 restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, most in San Francisco, are participating. Who can we expect to see this year? Many: from Mission Beach Cafe to Thirsty Bear Brewing, 2223 Restaurant, to Andalu and Dosa on Fillmore, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in every neighborhood of the city, to suit all tastes and prices. If you're stepping out for lunch or dinner on the 28th anyway, you may as well check the list of participating restaurants on the Dining out for Life site and change your plans accordingly. And it is a good idea to make plans to eat out tonight anyway, knowing that in addition to enjoying a great meal, you'll be contributing to a worthy cause. Buen provecho!
