Wednesday is such a strange day, right in the middle of the week, with two work days finished and two still to go. It's a bit early in the week to go out for a drink...instead of going to a bar, I recently felt like doing something healthier with my Wednesday evening. A friend then called me and asked me to go with him to LuluLemon, an athletic store on Union Street that offers free yoga classes on Wednesday evenings.
I was excited to go, since I've practiced yoga for years, but when my friend told me that after class there would be wine, refreshments and a DJ spinning music, well, I was there.
Yoga has brought balance and health to my life, while also teaching me to breathe properly. It helps you to feel great, and if you add this to the chance to meet new people, whether for professional networking, meeting new friends, or something more, a glass of wine and a bit of music helps to turn any difficult Wednesday into a hopeful Thursday.
