S.F. Symphony

S.F. Symphony

If you are looking for a stimulating activity for your kids, the San Francisco Symphony at the Davies Symphony Hall has fantastic winter concerts for the whole family. They even built a Symphony website for kids where you can find out about concerts, buy tickets and your kids can play musical games.

I recently went to see the Youth Orchestra’s annual performance of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf with narrator Eden Espinosa and Conductor Donato Cabrera. The show was magical.

The concert started with melodies from the Nutcracker, followed by the Story of Peter and the Wolf, which was wonderfully narrated by Eden Espinosa. Finally, the audience sang Christmas carols with the chorus. It was a beautiful concert and kids were actually paying attention- you have to see it to believe it!
