Social Network

The Social Network, directed by David Fincher and starring Jesse Eisenberg, is the latest fall blockbuster. The movie is adapted from the book by Ben Mezrich "The Accidental Billionaires", which told the story of the ins and outs of the latest internet behemoth: Facebook.

Those of us who thought that Mark Zuckerberg was one of those geniuses of the tech world who was capable of creating an empire from scratch will be in for a surprise. In reality, all it takes is a quick Google search to discover that Facebook, since its founding, has been faced with several lawsuits, and when we speak of Facebook's creator, we perhaps should include other names like Eduardo Saverin, the Winklevoss brothers or Divya Narendra. Success always has many fathers.

The film, in addition to telling the story of the creation of the famous social network, gives us a peek at the personality of the praised and admired Zuckerberg. Let's just say that the youngest multimillionaire on the Forbes list isn't portrayed in the best light. It's likely that the box office success of "The Social Network" isn't being taken well at 1601 S. California Avenue, in Palo Alto.
