The Tourist
The main character in "The Tourist" is Frank (Johnny Depp), an American math professor traveling in Europe to get over a breakup. He then meets Elise (Angelina Jolie), a woman who crosses his path and who makes him forget his troubled love life right away. Although Frank is swept away by the romance, he soon sees himself caught up, thanks to Elise, in a whirlwind of intrigue and action. And all the action takes place against the stunning backdrop of Venice.
The glamour, the unforgettable landscapes, and luxury are also protagonists of this story, along with its two superstars, directed by the German Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, director of the excellent "The Lives of Others" , which was a critical and popular success four years ago. In "The Tourist", von Donnersmarck leaves aside auteur cinema and takes on a Hollywood superproduction where neither the setting or the budget- you'll recall that it took place in East Berlin during the last years of communism- are nothing at all like "The Lives of Others".
Relax and enjoy a first class trip.
