Unstoppable

Unstoppable

Why Ridley Scott is so much more famous and  respected than his brother Tony is one of those mysteries that is worth its own movie- a horror movie, perhaps? Whatever the answer may be, it's obvious that the movies directed by the younger Scott brother, like the new "Unstoppable", are much more entertaining, and also do better at the box office.  The only thing we won't forgive him is launching Tom Cruise's career, but every great artist has some defect in his work.

In "Unstoppable", Tony Scott reunites with Denzel Washington, with whom he's worked in other films.  On this effort, Washington is joined by Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson.  You can see the plot explained in the trailer above, but it is basically a story of man vs. machine: the characters played by Washington and Pine have to stop an out-of-control train that threatends to run off the tracks and spill its highly toxic cargo.  Tension on the rails that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats.  After the World Cup, "Unstoppable" provides the tensest moments of the year. l
