El Superritmo
Every Saturday Night DJs Roger Mas y el Kool Kyle throw the Superritmo! party at the Make Out Room on 22nd street, right off Mission in San Francisco. If you have never been, you owe it to yourself to check out one of the great nights out in the city.
The Make Out Room is a cool spot that looks like a hall that held a Junior High Prom, frozen in time. Dancers move as Roger Mas and Kool Kyle – both excellent DJs – smoothly mix the bouncy beats of Bomba, Dancehall, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Salsa, Hip-hop, Baile Funk and Disco.
This party is so well known (it was featured in USA Today. I am not kidding) that I was once in the King of Thai on Clement street at like 8PM on a Saturday night laughing as four belligerent and inebriated guys badgered the owners to give them walking directions – walking directions – to the Make Out Room so they could go see El Superritmo.
