Pier 23 Cafe
Now that summer has officially started, and we have enjoyed some rare warm weather in the City by the Bay, San Franciscans are looking to head outside and enjoy a cold beverage with friends. A perfect spot to do just that, especially for those who work in the Financial District, is Pier 23 Cafe.
Located right along the water on the Embarcadero, Pier 23 has seating at the bar and tables inside. Unfortunately, I can't speak to this section of the restaurant, as I've always enjoyed the spectacular views on their large, outdoor patio.
Pier 23 is a great spot to enjoy a cold drink along with some fine seafood. The Catfish Poboy, Fish and Chips, Ceviche and Chicken Sandwiches are all highly recommended. It should be noted that their French fries are always nice and crispy. Also, though the wait time can be long during busy service times, it is well worth it. From Thursday through Sunday, Pier 23 hosts live music performances, which creates a lively atmosphere on the patio. This is, all in all, a great spot for the summer.
