Stacks is one of those restaurants that has a long line outside every weekend, full of people eager to get in (we've already written about a restaurant with a similar phenomenon, Mission Beach Cafe). Stacks has been around for twenty years in several Bay Area locations: Burlingame, Menlo Park, Redwood City and Campbell.

In San Francisco, it's not always easy to find restaurants that offer a wide selection of seafood, which is why Woodhouse Fish Company is a good choice, if what you want is a solid meal of fish or seafood. There are two locations, one on Market, right across from the Safeway, and another on Fillmore.

Fresca is a small restaurant with a great atmosphere and personality. It's perfect for groups of 4-6 people and is ideal for couples. The kitchen is integrated with the mini bar and the waiting area. The staff also was highly professional and charismatic.

Walzwerk is located in one of the less glamorous parts of the Mission, but is worth visiting for the authentic German food. The food leaves you satisfied, and the decor brings you back to East Berlin before the wall came down. When you enter the restaurant, you're greeted by a sign that indicates that you are leaving the American sector; the first framed pictures you see on the wall are of Marx and Lenin, but rest assured, payment is accepted in cash and credit, in U.S. dollars.
