Crepevine
The first time I had dinner at a restaurant in San Francisco was at Crepevine, specifically the one on Church Street off of Market. It wasn't until much later that I learned that it's a chain with at least 8 restaurants in the Bay Area). This was when I learned that unlike in Europe, in the U.S. food portions tend to be really big. I'm not surprised that people don't eat more than one plate...
I've returned many times to Crepevine, since it's you don't have to wait to order or to be seated (a luxury in San Francisco), and I'll admit, I go to the Church Street location because it's 5 minutes from my house.
There are a lot of options at Crepevine, although you have to keep in mind that this is unpretentious food: sandwiches, salads, scrambled eggs, cakes, and more. It's never hard to find something you like on a menu that has more than 50 selections (another luxury in San Francisco).
In closing, the food here leaves you satisfied, and the prices can't be beat. I leave with a full stomach and my wallet is only a little bit lighter.
