Just for You

Just a few blocks from the shipyards of San Francisco bay in Dogpatch, a gritty little neighborhood of old Victorians, warehouses and factories, is one of the best breakfast spots in the city. Just For You Café is a home cooking haven that has plentiful portions, friendly staff and even free coffee on the sidewalk while you wait your turn.

Arrive early as the wait can be long bring cash as they do not accept credit cards, and most of all bring your appetite. Start out with a pint sized Mimosa and some Beignets, New Orleans style donuts covered in powdered sugar, then move onto one of the many Cajun as well as Mexican options that fill the menu. How about a Crabby Bennie (two poached eggs on a Creole crab cake on toast with hollandaise sauce) with grits, Chorizo con Huevos, or if you really need to work on your hangover, try the Hangtown Fry (3 eggs scrambled with bacon, oysters, and onions). There are numerous options and combinations of ingredients to choose from and each is perfectly prepared.
