La Fonda
When I hear of a tapas restaurant I imagine ordering a small plate of Serrano chesse with “carnes frias” (cold meats) and delicious olives… to drink, sangria of course! La Fonda on Solano, in Albany, has turned the flavors into a more Mexian/Californian style. For instance, steamed sweet white corn with queso cotija, chili arbol, aioli and lime, or duck tacos with guacamole and arbol chilli salsa!
Fonda is a fun tapas bar with delicious small bites or “tapas”, good atmosphere, and great service. Although it is a little pricey for such a small delicatessen, I recommend visiting it and trying all you can eat, every small bite is amazing!
