While last week we introduced a great way to get dinner reservations in the city with OpenTable, this week we bring to your attention a relatively new website that offers some great ways to stretch your entertainment dollar. While I have used OpenTable frequently, there is another website that is a must-know for San Francisco diners and drinkers and it is called Groupon.
Launched in 2008, the site offers a daily deal on things to do, see and eat in San Francisco. I was not an early adopter of this site and only recently started using it. With 50% off deals for everything from tennis lessons to drinks to dinner, with very few if any restrictions, this is a website that will help you stretch your entertainment buck. Here's how it works: once you sign up, you receive an email each day with a Daily Deal, and I will guarantee that at least one day each week there will be something tempting. You can find examples of recent deals right on the Groupon site. I am not particularly a coupon guy, however with some screaming deals and the ability to really stretch your entertainment dollar, I highly recommend giving Groupon a try.
