Stackes pancakes
Stacks is one of those restaurants that has a long line outside every weekend, full of people eager to get in (we've already written about a restaurant with a similar phenomenon, Mission Beach Cafe). Stacks has been around for twenty years in several Bay Area locations: Burlingame, Menlo Park, Redwood City and Campbell.
On Hayes Street, we found the San Francisco location of this restaurant. As I said, due to the long lines on the weekends, you should come with a little patience since, depending on when you arrive, you may have to wait beween 15 and 30 minutes to be seated; this despite the fact that the restaurant is spacious and even has tables on the sidewalk.
On the Stacks menu you will find a plethora of options at very reasonable prices. The restaurant serves typical all-American fare: sandwiches, omelettes and scrambled eggs- eggs served in a variety of ways. Nevertheless, Stacks has, in my opinion, one star on the menu: the pancakes. One of the best I've ever had. And they are enormous!
