Thirsty Bear
One Sunday night, as I felt that Monday dread taking over, some friends invited me to enjoy some Spanish tapas at Thirsty Bear. The thought of having some sangria and good tapas was enough to snap me out of my Sunday blues.
At Thirsty Bear, I encountered a welcoming environment, and though I did expect a bit more from the sangria, the tapas began to arrive. At the same time, a flamenco show started, with music and dancers. The sound of the Spanish guitar and the artistic hip movements of the dancers (a Filipina and a Caucasian woman) all created a sensational ambience.
The tapas were impeccably presented, and the lovely appearance didn't do justice to the explosion of flavor. Delicious. If I had to recommend a dish, it would be the crab empanadas. I don't know if it was just a fleeting moment, but enjoying the food and witnessing one of the best flamenco shows around turned a dull Sunday evening into a memorable end to the weekend.
